Single Side Break Switch – LS1

Robust & Reliable

The LS1 is a simple, robust and very reliable disconnect switch.

Only the best materials are used for its fabrication.

All parts are fabricated from extruded aluminum or machined from solid billet materials, such as 304 stainless steel and hard drawn copper.


Technical features

  • High strength hot dip galvanized structural steel base frame;
  • Maintenance-free dry lubricant bearings;
  • Hardware on live parts are made of non-magnetic materials (mainly stainless steel);
  • Current-carrying parts are made of high-conductivity copper;
  • Contacts are made of silver plated hard drawn copper;
  • Contact pressure is provided by a stainless steel coil spring.

  • The pivot is a key part of a side break disconnect.
  • The best current-carrying design is useless if not mated to a high strength and reliable pivot.

  • Fully ice tested.
