All parts are fabricated from extruded aluminum or machined from solid billet materials, such as 304 stainless steel and hard drawn copper.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

High strength hot dip galvanized structural steel base frame with field-adjustable mounting provisions. Maintenance-free dry lubricant bearings. Non-magnetic hardware used in the current path (mainly stainless steel). High-conductivity copper blades and terminal pads with silver-plated hard drawn copper contacts. Contact pressure is maintained by a stainless steel coil spring.

LS1 ROTATING INSULATOR BEARING

The rotating insulator bearing is a key part of a side break disconnect switch. The best current-carrying design is useless if not mated to a high strength and reliable bearing like the EMSPEC design.
